NOW PROVIDING
PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING SERVICES

At the request of a client I qualified to carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).  This client recognised their duty of care to their employees and customers.  Additionally, they wanted to comply with their obligations under Section 81, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, (Part 3 - Electricity).
I am now working with them to achieve compliance in this area.
Can I assist your school, nursing home or business?

MANY ORGANISATIONS WAIT FOR A RISK TO MATERIALIZE BEFORE TAKING ACTION.
ARE YOU GOING TO BE THE NEXT?
Avoid the embarrassment of explaining why you waited for an avoidable risk to occur before you put controls in place to manage it.

Managing your risks secures your business and safeguards your organisation.

An organisation or business which manages its risks is safeguarding its future.  The senior leadership team and managers in an organisation must recognise that there are risks involved in doing business. These risks exist whether they carrying out day to day operations or strategically planning.

Some organisations fail to take steps to identify and manage their strategic, operational, financial, security or other risks. Where this happens an organisation is exposed to potential harmful events.
Where an unforeseen event occurs it could negatively impact the business but also and equally importantly, it could impact the organisation's brand reputation. Organisations and business should view their reputation as a valuable asset and take all steps necessary to protect and safeguard it.

The security function in an organisation is a key area to manage to protect your a[people, assets, information and data.

WHY DO SECURITY BREACHES HAPPEN?

There is no simple answer to this eternal question.

There are many reasons why security breaches occur. Some of the causes include poor security infrastructure design and implementation, non compliance with security policy, or perhaps a poor quality service provider.  Whatever the reason, many weaknesses can be addressed, if identified.
However, there are too many cases where organisations are looking back to figure out why a breach occurred. My goal is to work with organisations to identify their security weaknesses and prevent breaches occurring in the first place.

WHAT CAN BE DONE TO PREVENT SECURITY BREACHES?

No security system can guarantee complete protection for a variety of reasons.

Breaches sometimes occur because an organisation fail to focus their security systems on the areas that need to be protected. Additionally, organisations presume that because they have a security policies and have invested in security system that it will operate as planned.

Identifying what you need to protect is the first step in designing an effective security infrastructure. Testing your security systems to confirm they operate as planned is the next and most important stage.

WHAT WILL AN INDEPENDENT SECURITY AUDIT
DO FOR MY ORGANISATION?

An independent security audit will consider all aspects of your organisation's security.

Following the audit you will receive a detailed report identifying the strengths and weaknesses of your security and will provide recommendations on what can be done to improve security elements within your organisation.

OUR APPROACH TO SECURITY AUDITING

Don't look back with regret!

Safeguard your people, assets, data and information.

Safeguard your reputation.

DON'T BE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO THINK IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO YOU!

Using our skills and knowledge we apply a proven methodology to identify key security and strategic and operational risks for your organisation.

Some organisations may need to implement a risk process within their organisation.  Others may need to reignite a process which has lapsed or is not being used effectively.  In this instance we can combine our experience in change manager with our understanding of implementing the risk process in a large, complex and dispersed organisation to assist in delivering your organisational needs.

Working with the senior leadership team, operational managers and staff we can put in place a process which will give internal and external stakeholders confidence that your organisation is:

  • Has prioritized those risks for action,
  • Communicated the risks effectively across the organisation, and,
  • Is managing your risks appropriately.
